Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Munchio account in the app. If you cannot access the app, support can start a verified deletion request without asking you to send health data or account secrets.

1. Delete in the app

The fastest and most secure path is:

  1. Open Munchio and sign in.
  2. Open Settings → Privacy & data.
  3. Select Delete account.
  4. Read the deletion summary and type the exact word DELETE.
  5. Confirm the permanent deletion request.

Munchio removes the linked RevenueCat customer where supported, then deletes the Supabase authentication account and Munchio-owned data. The app clears local drafts and cached account state and signs you out after confirmed completion.

This cannot be undone. Export your data first from Settings → Privacy & data if you want to keep a copy.

2. If you cannot use the app

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Munchio account. Use the subject “Munchio account deletion request.”

Support will reply with an ownership-verification step before starting deletion. Verification is necessary to prevent someone else from deleting your account. If you used Sign in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, send the request from the relay address associated with Munchio if possible.

Never send your password, one-time code, access token, Apple or Google credential, diary history, food photo, voice recording, medical information, or payment-card number. Munchio support will not ask for those items to verify deletion.

We process verified requests without unreasonable delay, subject to applicable law and the availability of providers needed to complete deletion. A failed provider step is retried and is not presented as a completed deletion.

3. What is deleted

A completed account deletion removes Munchio-owned account data such as:

  • authentication account, profile, settings, and preferences;
  • dietary allergen/avoidance profiles and their version history;
  • diary entries, revisions, nutrition snapshots, custom foods, notes, and related history;
  • capture jobs and pending structured results, quota and entitlement projections, summaries, plans, and review-prompt state; and
  • account-linked provider-call and operational records in Munchio’s ownership tables.

Raw food photos and voice recordings are not stored by Munchio in the first place. Provider-side retention follows the disclosures in the Privacy Policy.

4. What may remain

  • Apple, Google, RevenueCat, payment processors, or Engineers Space LLC may retain transaction records required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or other legal obligations.
  • A content-free deletion receipt containing only pseudonymous status information may remain for retry safety and is removed within 30 days.
  • Irreversible aggregate operational statistics that cannot identify or be relinked to your account may remain.

These exceptions do not preserve your diary, profile, food history, allergens, raw media, or voice transcript as a hidden copy.

5. Cancel your store subscription separately

Deleting your Munchio account does not guarantee cancellation of an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription through the same store where you purchased it to prevent a future renewal.
